Minecart Pieces & Plans!

New set of pieces! Now including ways to build on the side of bricks, alongside minecart & track pieces! The tracks also can double as ladder pieces. The pony legs have also been updated again so they can be printed upright with supports.

I’m planning a new type of piece called a ‘Slab’ which will be used on side-studs for decor. Think of it like a ‘Tile’ piece in other systems- but there won’t be any flat surfaces to smooth out sets. I want F’deem to oppose over-perfecting looks of things to instead make things easy to change around and rebuild. Slabs will be used for things like painting pieces, vines, vents, etc. It will count for anything that’s a plate high with no upper studs. The ‘Rails’ piece almost became the first Slab, but I wanted stud connections so it could double as a ladder.

As for the next piece ideas, the current goal is to make a generic ‘stick’ piece that will have pegs on both sides (and a third side peg for pony hands), which will be used with new handle pieces to make a variety of tools- like spears, axes, picks, shovels, etc. I’m thinking my next set may be mining related so I may also make some rock pieces.

Before any sets can be made however I need to remake the 8x12x3 Packaging Piece to now use pegs to connect sideways- and then update the first set’s instructions. The peg change will finally let me remove the 1x1 plate corners- making it easier to use and print. Similar changes will happen for the storage containers too.

Another plan is to make a set of golf items for sets, using a modified 8x12 Plate with a mostly flat center and a large hole to set up custom minigolf courses (or maybe 8x2/8x3 strips with custom elements for golf?). Unsure how I’ll go about it as I’d want it to be customizable, but you need studs to customize things- and flat areas for the ball to roll in. And once again I don’t want to offer fully flat tiles for use in other ways- so will have to get back on that. (Maybe instead use the underside of the plate so the whole set is built upside down?)

Aaand stick + handle items now in. Also technically the Magic Object Holder returns as the Peg Double-Sided Curved, just not for its original purpose. Next planned tool heads are axe, double-axe, wrench, and spear. A golf club would be a head but since players will use it to hit the ball- and with not that much friction on the pegs it’d be unfun, so that would just be its own separate item.
