Pony Redesign 3

Another redesign for ponies! This time the pegs come back to replace the taller studs. Now that I actually have experience in printable designing I understand a better way to make the pegs work, and they do!

Previous ponies either had too tight or too loose of connections, and limbs especially would pop off when you rotated them past their intended bounds. The new pegs are frictionless which allows for easy rotation while still keeping a good clutch before being pulled out. The pegs also have a lot more mass so there’s no chance of breaking. The tube part of the peg is also smaller than a normal stud, meaning pieces with holes printed on their side- which are much tighter, won’t be noticeable compared to top-down prints.

Some pieces now have new peg-compatible holes, such as all leg hoofs and the Glooby piece. Still unclear if I’m going to redesign the Magic Holder as a peg piece- or just incorporate pegs into more holdable items.

I also changed shapes of some pony pieces to make them easier to print, such as all legs being printable on their side now- and the head being printed straight up with the only supports needed for the chin.

As for downsides/things to work on, the legs being frictionless is fun to mess with but prevents specific posing. Body pieces may change for this. Additionally the legs can look weird printed on their side with small supports, so I may make the entire length of the leg flat to keep consistency.
